They last way longer in the esky, over 4 days and we smashed up a couple of big blocks to keep our fish cold in the fish bag.

How long does it take to freeze?

The Big Block Tray Original (5.5 kg) typically takes around 48 hours or more to fully freeze, depending on freezer size and settings. For best results, fill with cold water, leave a little space for expansion, and place flat in the coldest section of your freezer.

Is it easy to remove the ice block?

Yes. Simply run warm water over the base or leave the tray in the sun for 1–2 minutes. Then push the block up from underneath — no twisting or hammering required.

Can I carry it when filled with water?

Absolutely. The reinforced stainless steel rim keeps the tray stable while full. Use two hands and keep it level to avoid spills.
